Requirement
All employers, landlords or occupiers with 5 employees or more have a statutory duty under the “Fire Precaution (Workplace) Regulations 1999” to carry out a risk assessment to ensure their premises and activities are able to facilitate safe escape in the event of an emergency.
Emergency lighting is a life safety system and is required to assist the occupants in the event of an emergency. It is a mandatory requirement to be installed where artificial lighting is installed.
Q. Do you have sufficient emergency lighting and does it meet current statutory requirements?
A. At Global Star we can assure your compliance. Our fully qualified engineers certified in the testing of emergency lighting will attend out of normal trading hours so that you are not trying to work in the dark while your emergency lighting is being tested.
They will use their knowledge and experience gained in installation and testing to make sure you are safe and fix any problems as they go. We will also supply a log book and full documentation to keep you compliant.
