Requirement
It is a legal requirement for employers, landlords and residential care homes that all electrical equipment from simple battery–powered torches upwards, must be ‘safe, well–maintained and suitable for the purpose for which it is being used’.
The penalties for non–compliance can be severe: in certain cases, it may constitute unlimited fines and/or imprisonment. Many insurance companies are refusing to provide cover for businesses and other organisations if they cannot provide evidence of having had their electrical equipment PAT tested.
Q. Have you got a suitable system in place to ensure you are compliant?
A. At Global Star we can build and maintain a system for you...
Our team of fully qualified engineers will, in accordance with IET Codes of Practice, test and make safe all of your appliances and make immediate fixes to issues of non–conformity.
Each appliance tested is labelled; showing when it was tested, when re–testing is required and you will receive fully documented test reports, which include PAT testing certification.
We will also notify you every year to remind you when your next PAT testing is due to take place.
